When you buy a wig or topper 'off the shelf' it won't necessarily feel like your hair. Further customisation, such as changing the parting or having the piece cut/coloured, can make it feel much more natural.
Cutting and colouring wigs and toppers is a specialist skill. We advise against doing this yourself or taking your piece to a hairdresser who has not been trained or has experience in doing these services. If they cut the piece too short or do it wrong, then it won't grow back! Plus, colouring human hair that has already been processed is different from colouring the hair that grows out of your head. We recommend using a hairdresser who has completed training in these skills. Below is a selection of hairdressers that we have either used ourselves or have been recommended by our customers.
